IBBY: From MEDIA APPRENTICESHIP to JUNIOR EDITOR

Ibby did a media apprenticeship with video production company Mediorite and is now a Junior Editor flexing his creative muscles with Adobe Suite, social channels and using AI to resolve issues like film quality and formatting. He is progressing his skills by leaning into directing, and could see himself running his own creative company one day.

JOSHUA: From MEDIA APPRENTICESHIP to CAMERA OPERATOR and TRAINER

After joining Mediorite with a media apprenticeship, Joshua Lamptey has progressed to become a Junior Camera Operator AND a trainer on Mediorite’s SHIFT training programme. He’s developing himself while helping other filmmakers of the future gain skills and confidence for their next steps into creative and media careers.

Step into media careers with junior jobs (including apprenticeship) and free training that could lead to a media apprenticeship with Mediorite.

Build filming skills with SHIFT free training

Get into film! Here at Mediorite, we offer young creatives in London aged 18-25 the chance to apply for SHIFT, our FREE blended online/face to face training programme. You will need to have a passion for film and a track record of creating content. Alumni (training graduates) have gone on to secure junior jobs and media apprenticeship with not only Mediorite but also employers like Netflix, AppleTV, and the BBC.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

SHIFT Intense 8 week (Every Wednesday) FREE training programme including:

  • Create a promotional film for a live client and you’ll be working with a range of creative professionals with opportunities to develop soft skills around leadership.
  • Professional workshops to develop your CV and soft skills
  • 1:1 mentoring and support with applying for work placement within a creative business
