The free training we offer to young people through SHIFT film production training sees our diverse trainees work together to make a FREE film for a third sector organisation. If you are a third sector organisation that meets the criteria below, we could make a free film FOR YOU!

Are you…

  • A charity or social enterprise in East London?
  • Able to commit to 4 hours of pre-production to include writing and presenting a brief, attending a pitch session in person to hear ideas, feeding back on the edit, and attending a film screening?
  • Able to provide access to activities we can film over 2 days within our training schedule?

If so…

Your third sector organisation will get a FREE film made by our trainees. These motivated young people get to hone their emerging life and work skills, and you get to support the local community whilst getting a video to showcase your organisation’s good work.

Film training

We offer a range of film training courses for young people in third sector organisations. Teach the Teacher is a workshop for youth workers, and MovieMagic is a workshop supporting people to gain confidence in their video production skills – very useful for modern marketing purposes!

Video services

If you are a third sector organisation that doesn’t meet the criteria for a FREE film,we can still offer our youth-led services. Your film will be created by young people who have completed our training course and we are now supporting them in their careers. You will pay a fee, charged at our youth-led rate .

It was a pleasure to work with Mediorite and the SHIFT Programme to create a promotional video for GoodWork. We were incredibly impressed by the professionalism of the team and young people involved. The quality of the final video far exceeded our expectations - as a small non-profit, this has added value far beyond what we could otherwise have achieved.
