Mediorite is a small but growing social enterprise working with diverse young people in Hackney around media and film. We make films that look good and do good.

JOB DESCRIPTION – JUNIOR EDITOR

Our clients include market leading corporates and charities who demand high quality and creative film services delivered on time and to budget. We are looking for a Junior Editor with a love of narrative storytelling through film to work with us in our office in Dalston.

COMPETENCIES

• Receiving and interpreting editing briefs, questioning and offering ideas to help meet clients requirements

• Building project files in Premiere Pro with multiple sequences

• File naming and general file hygiene

• Responsible for editing films to sign off including meeting editorial expectations, understanding brand guidelines, adding logos and text, using basic After Effects and adding music and SFX

• Basic colour grading of footage within Premiere Pro

• Ensuring all the organization’s or client’s visuals are consistent with the overall brand

• Supplying files to clients in appropriate format, using file transfer sites

• Taking and completing amendments, with attention to detail

BEHAVIORS

• Communicating clearly to all team members

• Leading multiple projects to completion in accordance with deadlines

• Accurate planning and reporting of own time

• Supporting Mediorite’s creative output and working with Manager to seek constant improvements

• Highly responsible

• Great communicator, happy to speak to clients, manage teams and input on creative briefs on email or face to face

TRAINING:

We have a budget for external training and the opportunity to shadow experienced freelancers. As we are a small company the right person will be supported to progress quickly

ADDITIONALS

• If you’re interested in camera work the job could build in some shooting time

• AE is a bonus
