Hand picked and diverse talent

Our businesses are only as good as the people who work with us that's why we're launching new work and placement programme SHIFT.

As a creative agency, we know that a young person with the right attitude can be an amazing asset, bringing new ideas, energy and picking up the slack on non-urgent tasks. With CVs coming through daily asking for placements and negative past experiences of trainees who've been hard work, it’s easy to feel there's no time to take a chance and hard to decide who's worth taking on.

Mediorite’s SHIFT program is designed to make it easy for you to work successfully with 18 to 24 year old East Londoners from diverse backgrounds. By working with you to identify what you need from entry-level young people, not just in terms of skill, but attitude and behaviour, we can hand pick a young person for a placement, supported throughout with a mentor and travel expenses.

We’ll search far and wide to find diverse young talent, aspiring for careers in production, camera or editing.

Our course will include:

• 6 week training program including making a social action film

• Showreel and personal development plan

• Experience on a paid job with us

Past trainees have gone to work at Sky, BT Sport and been accepted on NFTS programmes

What do we need from you?

We understand that every business in the creative sector is different, therefore we want to work with you to come up with a bespoke plan, based on who you want (and don’t want).

We need:

• A placement where there's commitment to offer related tasks, in addition to general tasks (we understand there are times you might be on deadline or have less work on)

• Shared desire to open the door to talent that might otherwise struggle to find opportunity

• September start date

• Minimum of 2 weeks

We are also happy to look through any CVs you have sitting on your desk that you don't have time to scan.

Why would you get involved?

You love both your industry and east London, so why not help to connect the next generation to the creative industries and help them take their first steps in their career, and provide a true reflection of your community in your business.
