Construction Youth Trust

Brief:
Construction Youth Trust needed film assets to bring their youth programs; Budding Brunels and Budding Builders to life for stakeholders and potential partners. The films were for online and we needed to produce short versions to be screened at their annual Duke of Gloucester Awards.

Results:
As the Trust already had films that explained the programs step by step we went for a different approach looking for individuals who'd completed the courses and gone on to thrive. The young people we featured had the opportunity to speak on stage at the awards to further inspire audiences and bring to life the value of the construction industry investing in young people.

We followed young future Civil Engineer Anisa on her work placement in the Olympic park site HereEast with Laing O’Rourke thanks to Construction Youth Trust’s Budding Brunels course.

This course is designed to introduce young people from diverse backgrounds with a talent for STEM subjects to the breadth of careers available within the construction industries. As part of the programme the group get to spend time touring working construction sites, hear from industry professionals and visit universities and technical colleges. Following a pitch process a few have the opportunity to take part in work placements.

We were commissioned to show Budding Brunels and the Trust’s other more practical program Budding Builders impact on a young peoples aspirations and prospects.
