Childrens’s Society – photoshoot with added value

Posted by on Jul 5, 2012 in Funding, Mediorite, Photography, Social Enterprise, Work

The brief :National charity The Childrens’ Society run a photo library to provide high quality images to support their workers, projects and reach young people with info on their services. Having always used commercial agencies and models we offered a new perspective and social value by using real young people, locations we work in and opportunities for young creatives to assist our professional photographer Agenda.

This job offered paid work to 8 young people, 5 were first time models, a young photographer and casting director. YH journalist Lilly blogged and interviewed models ( See article ) and we used Workshop 44 as a location, supporting a local charity and the local shop. Three of the young models have gone on to sign up for Starnow and saw the job as a valuable work experience

” I’d never thought of modelling before and it was harder work than I thought but really interesting. I’ve been out of work for 6 months now so it was great to have a new experience and earn some money. I’d love to do it again” Frankie 17 years old

What did the client think? Sarah Glazier from Childrens’ Society gave us this testimonial : Mediorite were great – enthusiastic and went the extra mile to get the job done. Hope to work together again in the near future.
