Staying Safe

Staying Safe is a National Lottery funded project that sees Peabody support and develop young people across London to tackle the problems they see around them through campaigning. Our role ( along with Poached Creative & Dream Arts ) is to teach, support and develop established groups of young leaders to launch successful campaigns and influence their peers.

Acland Burghley – Iam, role model campaign

Iam seeks to tackle youngers joining gangs by speaking directly to 11 – 13 through a short film ( Young Shockz )  and motivating 16/17 year olds to become role models in their community. The genius of this campaign is that by inspiring and sign posting 16/17 year olds to become role models there is a strong legacy guaranteed

St Andrews – Ask Keely mobile app

Getting home safely is a major problem for teenagers. Whether it’s basic first aid, emergency numbers or how to reverse the charges to your mum when your skint this mobile app is there to help.

Dream Arts – Oiimysize, magazine style website

The battle of the sexes has never been as vicious. Mobile phones allow boys to share inappropriate images of girl friends and getting a girls BBPin by whatever means shows status. Oiimysize looks at how boys talk to girls and offers guidance and advice around Sexploitation for both sexes.
