My story

Posted by on May 18, 2010 in Blog, Journalism, Media

I’ve always been arty. I did a Fine Art degree at Birmingham. Like many people with Fine Art degrees though, I didn’t end up being a fine artist. Instead I ended up working in media in London.

I started working on specialist magazines at IPC Media, then on websites and mobile as these media became more prevalent. I talked to our editorial teams, media, creative and PR agencies and a decade later I was an award winning Digital Director.

At the same time I was getting a lot out of being a trustee for an arts charity and volunteering through the Media Trust to help small charities with their mar/coms. I found myself regularly helping youth charities that had trouble getting young people to turn up to free opportunities they were putting on. Having spent all this time helping brands speak with their audiences I knew I had something to add.

That’s where Mediorite came from. I have a passion for all things creative, I want to make real opportunities for young people and I know media inside out. I’m doing what I know best and above all, what I care about.
